Milena Georgieva is an associate professor of molecular biology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and holds a master’s degree in Cell Biology and Embryology. Her scientific interests and research are in the areas of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Epigenetics, and Modern Biomedicine. She is the author of over 50 scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals. Milena leads and takes part in a number of research projects of national and international funding agencies. She is a scientific consultant at the international Enago academy, that aims to support scientists from around the world with advice on academic development. Milena promotes science in Bulgaria by participating in radio and TV programs and is also a speaker at the TED conferences.
