Teodora Lalova is a doctoral researcher at KU Leuven (Belgium), enrolled in an interdisciplinary program at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and at the Centre for IT & IP Law (CiTiP). Her research focuses on the fair allocation of data control and responsibility in precision medicine, with particular attention on the legal framework for clinical trials. She commenced her PhD in September 2018 as a fellow of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC). In November 2019, Teodora was awarded a PhD scholarship by the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO).

In 2018, Teodora obtained an LL.M. in International and European Business Law (magna cum laude) from KU Leuven. She holds a Master of Laws degree (summa cum laude) from Sofia University, Bulgaria (2016). Her previous professional experience includes several internships in the private (law firms) and public sector (the Pardons Committee at the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Sofia Regional Court).
