Gunnar Schroefel is Global Director Patient Advocacy Oncology at Daiichi Sankyo. He leads the relationships with international and pan-European patient advocacy groups and patient representatives across various solid tumors and blood cancers. Gunnar also heads up the European Patient Advocacy Team, which consists of the patient advocacy leads of Daiichi Sankyo’s country affiliates.
Gunnar brings the patient perspective to all disciplines of the company, from early development to patient access to new treatments. Gunnar has more than twelve years of practice in working with patient communities on multi-stakeholder initiatives to understand and respond to patient needs and to foster patient education and disease awareness.
Gunnar holds an MBA in International Management and has a total of 20 years of experience in strategic and operational management roles in the pharmaceutical business.
