Dobril Valchev is an engineer in the field of “Water supply and sewerage”. He finished his Master’s Degree at the University of Architecture, Civil engineering and Geodesy (UACEG). After that Dobril Valchev successfully defended his PhD in the field of algae-based wastewater treatment technologies. Currently he is a post-doctoral researcher in Project BG05M2OP001-1.002-0019: “Clean technologies for sustainable environment – waters, waste, energy for circular economy” on the side of UACEG and his work is focused on the development of wastewater treatment technologies, optimisation of the water supply and sewerage systems and the preservation of the natural resources. As an engineer in practice, Dr Valchev designs real water supply and sewerage networks in buildings and cities. His research interests have been presented in national and international publications, different conferences in the specific professional field and in forums for science communication at an accessible language for the broad audience like “FameLab”, “Sofia Science Festival”, “European Researchers’ night” and others.
