Ute Hegener graduated at the Heinrich-Heine -University of Düsseldorfwith a diploma degree in Biology in 1998. She worked at the research institute for Developmental and Molecular Biology of Plants at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf up to 2003. The topic of her research was the plant secondary metabolism.
In 2004 she joined the pharmaceutical industry and made her first experiences in Regulatory Affairs. Since this time she expanded her RA experience continuously in different responsible positions and added Quality Management to her expert experience as well. In 2016 Ute joined PharmaLex and holds the position as Director, Quality Management & Compliance, head of Regulatory Affairs Team.
