Over 20 years’ experience in the development, manufacturing and commercialization of rapid diagnostics. Vice President of Operations at Lepzi Biotechnology, a provider of R&D and OEM services to manufacturers of products for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD), ranging from central laboratory tests to Point-of-Care diagnostics.
Through my career in the IVD industry, I managed projects at various phases of the product development lifecycle, from early-stage prototyping and feasibility studies to implementation of specialized manufacturing processes, production scale-up, quality improvements, design transfer and product support. I applied my expertise in design development, optimization, and validation to facilitate the commercialization of IVD products with a broad range of applications, including cardiac biomarkers, infectious diseases, prenatal testing. A central focus in my work is to enable technological advancements in the field of IVD for improved patient outcomes, while addressing the increasing demand for accessible and cost-effective healthcare. At Lepzi Biotechnology I lead the development of a novel immunoassay platform for quantitative analysis of blood biomarkers at a point-of-care setting.
I hold a Master of Science degree from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry, where I conducted and published research in proteomics to study the antimicrobial properties of human saliva.
