The Future of Healthcare

Futuristic abstract of a doctor and a digital representation of a hearth

With the ongoing pandemic the future of the world is uncertain, especially for the healthcare sector which ought to constantly adjust to new challenges while persistently trying to find promising cures for diseases with unmet medical needs. However, the science and industry has been rapidly evolving during the last couple of decades due to the development of the biotechnology sector. How can we optimise this process of looking for and implementing innovative solutions for better healthcare? What does the future of health bring? Now is the time when scientific breakthroughs (inlc. “omics” technologies), data sharing and collection, digitalization, interoperability and patient empowerment come together and become key aspects for future transformation of the existing landscape to ensure innovation implementation for better healthcare (effective prediction and prevention, early diagnosis and reliable diagnostics, effective treatment approach and optimal patient care).

By joining Biotech Atelier 2021 on 29th September 2021, you will be able to participate in Big Atelier entitled The Future of Health – Innovations for Better Healthcare, the first of our major topics at this-year’s event.

Leading experts:

  • Bogi Eliasen, Director of Health at Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies (CIFS)
  • Joanne Hackett, Head of Genomic and Precision Medicine at IQVIA
  • Bernard Grimm, Healthcare Biotechnology Director at EuropaBIO
  • Toni Andreu, Scientific Director at EATRIS
  • Thomas Allvin, Executive Director Strategy and Healthcare Systems at EFPIA
  • Alexander Alexiev, CEO and Founder of SAT Health

will present and discuss different aspects of healthcare and lead us to its future and optimization of patient care via genomics, precision medicine, biotechnology advancement, translational medicine and digital solutions.

In addition, the panel “The Future of Health – Innovations for Better Healthcare” will logically be continued and built up with a keynote lecture on the topic “The Innovative Health Initiative – Europe’s New Public Private Partnership in Health” presented by Mr. Pierre Meulien, Executive Director of Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI).

In the second half of the day, attendees will have the chance to join separate topic-specific panels:

  • Precision Medicine: From Breakthroughs to Patient Benefits and Direct-to-Consumer Testing
  • Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART)
  • Computer System Validation (CSV)
  • Amyloidosis (ATTR amyloidosis)

The experts will talk through the potential partnerships between various industries using future technological developments which would irreversibly change the environment in the healthcare sector.

Sign up now and don’t miss the chance to be a part of Biotech Atelier 2021 together with some of the leaders of today and tomorrow in the field of biotechnology, innovation and healthcare.
