Rahul Kallampunathil is a Vice President in Arbour Group’s Digital Risk practice where he builds teams that help companies proactively manage regulatory compliance risks as they embark or continue on their journey towards a true digital enterprise.
Rahul is an innovative thinker with over 18 years of experience in regulatory compliance, IT quality management, risk management, and internal controls, focused
on Information Technology and Data. Rahul has led several regulatory compliance projects including compliance assessments of ERP systems, Cloud based systems,
and emerging digital technologies (RPA, AI etc.) to meet requirements of FDA, SOX, HIPAA and GDPR. He has used his background in management information systems
to play the lead role in implementing program assessments. Rahul has extensive experience in multiple business processes, which he has utilized to add value to
clients who are in the process of undergoing large implementation projects. He advises clients on effectively steering through complex technology and data risks, and controls optimization. Rahul’s insights on the design and effectiveness of controls over digital technologies and processes helps clients adapt to a fluid business and regulatory environment by optimizing those business processes, effectively harnessing data for actionable intelligence, and developing and implementing solutions that drive efficiency and mitigate risk.
Representative Work:
Provided compliance advisory services as part of a large, multinational SAP S4 HANA implementation project at a Fortune 500 company. The client operates out of multiple continents and was required to follow several regulations (such as FDA, SOX). Helped the CIO with high level compliance analysis and compliance plan. Additionally, monitored the execution of the project against the compliance plan.
Provided advisory service to a client whose IT systems were cloud based. Mapped the compliance scope and identified compliance risks as well as plans to mitigate the risk at the infrastructure, platform, and application level.
Established the Intelligent Automation practice, including setting up a CoE (center of Excellence) for Robotic Process Automation. Provided advisory services to clients to establish road map for adopting digital technologies and to implement pilot projects. Published white papers on Intelligent Automation and risk and compliance around the same.
Implemented Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) ruleset and designed reports to help the identify and monitor risk and controls at several clients. Rahul has a master’s degree in Information Management from Aspen University, Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in Math and Statistics from Bharathiar University, India. Rahul is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (India), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Data Privacy Solutions
Engineer (CDPSE) and is SAP certified Business Solution Consultant. He previously worked with PwC LLP and KPMG and resides in New Jersey.
