Dr Maryia Trubitsyna is a Consultant in the team of Genomic and Precision Medicine for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Maryia is responsible for supporting development of the offer and capabilities of the Genomics team, with focus on spotting and engaging with academic, private and government opportunities in Eastern Europe, Germany and Italy.
Maryia has strong scientific background in Molecular Biology and DNA/RNA therapeutics development. Dr Trubitsyna received her PhD from the University of Edinburgh, UK and she is interested in novel approaches for precise gene editing as well as mRNA-based medicines. During her career as a scientist Maryia wrote and co-authored ten peer-reviewed scientific publications in high-impact factor journals and two book chapters by invitation, spoke at national and international scientific conferences, medical and pharma trade fairs.
Maryia joined IQVIA in 2021 as a part of Strategy Consulting EMEA group first, where she contributed high-quality work to projects involving world-leading and mid-sized pharmaceutical companies in the areas of launch strategy, indication expansion, branding and commercial strategy, commercial opportunities evaluation, organisation of scientific advisory boards and others.
Maryia received highly competitive funding from the Darwin Trust of Edinburgh in 2009, was selected as talented scientist to reputable invitation-only event Roche Continents in 2014, selected as Intrapreneurial Lead at Innovation to Commercialisation of University Research (ICURe) Innovate UK in 2016, received Follow-on funding from BBSRC UKRI as a co-investigator to support commercialisation of academic research developing tools for the cost reduction of RNA therapeutics manufacturing in 2020.
