Dr. Hristo Ivanov is a PhD doctor who graduated from the Medical University – Plovdiv in 2012. Since 2015 he has been an assistant in the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Genetics at the Medical University – Plovdiv. A year later, he received a doctorate in genetics with a dissertation on “Analysis of the expression profile of protein-encoding genes in patients with autism spectrum disorder by highly specific quantitative RT-PCR.” In 2017 he became a senior assistant at the Medical University – Plovdiv.
He has participated in a number of international research projects (HOPE – HOW ONCOGENETICS PREDICTS AND EDUKATES).”, Funded by the European Union under the Erasmus program; PROJECT BG05M2OP001-1.002-0005 “Competence Center” Personalized Innovative Medicine (PERIMED) ) related to medical genetics and personalized medicine.
With interests in the field of neurogenetics , oncogenetics , pharmacogenetics , genetics of reproduction and precision medicine. Dr. Ivanov has passed a number of certification courses: Nutrigenomics : Genetic testing for personalized nutrition “at the organization Dietitians of Canada ; work with digital droplet ddPCR Qx200 AutoDG Biorad ; work with Real-Time PCR apparatus CFX96 of Biorad ; work with MiGeq’s NGS platform. Dr. Ivanov is also a member of the Bulgarian Society of genetics and genomics of the human.
